Society for Technical Communication (STC) Award Recipients
The Marketing Department of S&S Cycle® was recently the recipient of an Award of Excellence, at the Society of Technical Communication’s Chicago Region Awards Banquet, on March 10, 2011.
The Society for Technical Communication is a worldwide organization comprised of technical writers, illustrators, informational architects, instructional & web designers, teachers, trainers and researchers of technical communication. All technical communicators have the common goal of providing the right information, in the right way, at the right time to make someone’s life easier and more productive. STC chapters are established in over 50 countries.
The S&S team, comprised of Dennis Schaefer (Technical Writer), Karen Rooney, (Graphics Designer) and Amy Jo Langer (Photographer) co-authored the 2009/2010 K-Bobb Owner’s Manual. The Owner’s Manual supports the S&S Cycle K-Bobb motorcycle, a unique limited production collectable offered through our Flathead Power brand.
The K-Bobb is a complete vintage reproduction motorcycle and is modeled after a customized 1946 FL bobber. The K-Bobb has the KN93 engine made by Flathead Power.
Entries receiving a Distinguished or Excellence award will move on to International competition. International winners will be announced in May 2011 at the International Summit to be held in San Diego, CA.
